Did local biodynamic gardener L.A. Rotheraine discover a new species of cherry tomato? Early this summer a gardener at evergreen elm, Patty Price discovered a set of six tomatoes plant with larger than normal cherry tomatoes. The tomatoes plants were planted in local construction company owner Bob Cummins biodynamic greenhouse. The seeds that were planted were thought to be L.A. Rotheraine’s Ratatouille (rat-tat-two- lee) seeds. The new cherry tomato species is called the patty price after the woman who discovered them. Currently, Rotheraine is seeking an expert to verify that this is a new strain of cherry tomato. The new cherry tomato is denser than your average cherry tomato with a robust taste.
