A Gifford man accused of going on a multi-county crime spree was arraigned today on charges related to stealing an SUV in the city, and a preliminary hearing has been set for next Thursday in Central Court.
19-year-old Tyler Newman allegedly stole an SUV from the Chestnut Street Uni-Mart on February 11 and drove it to the Sheetz in Ridgway, where he allegedly carjacked another vehicle.
He also allegedly robbed a Sheetz and a Kwik Fill in Clearfield County. He waived hearings on those charges on Wednesday.
