A Bradford man escaped serious injury when his SUV was hit by a train yesterday in Bradford.
39 year old Devin Grice was not injured when his SUV failed to stop at the railroad crossing on Hilton Street and crossed the tracks in front of a moving Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad train that was passing through. The train hit the passenger side of the vehicle pushing it off the tracks and causing debilitating damage. While the emergency break mechanism locked up on the train, none of the cars left the tracks.
The train blocked Mill St and North Kendall for about an hour while the tracks were inspected for damage and a repair was made to the train. No charges were filed in the incident.
