As Leadership Cattaraugus (LC) enters its 19th year, the leadership program is looking for a new administrator.
Jodi Fuller, president of Leadership Cattaraugus’ Board of Directors, said “Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a new executive director (with the departure of Meme K. Yanetsko former COO GOACC to HomeCare & Hospice as their new advancement director), and their board of directors felt it was time to restructure that position which meant they wouldn’t be able to fulfill the LeadCatt administrator role until completion.”
GOACC took over the administrator role from the JCC-Continuing Education Department (now Workforce Development) in July 2021. The Chamber was successful in securing capacity cohorts (25) in both 2023 and 2024.
Leadership Cattaraugus is an active, immersive learning experience that welcomes professionals across all business sectors and in all stages of their careers. The 10-month program, which annually welcomes a cohort of 20 to 25 people, is designed to identify future leaders of the area and help them develop the skills they will need to work more effectively for the betterment of all people in Cattaraugus County.
The Leadership Cattaraugus board has established a request for proposal for the administrator position. Those interested in receiving the bid proposal package should contact Ms. Fuller at 716-945-1041 or email jfuller@ccaction.org. The schedule for the RFP is as follows: proposals due by midnight, May 10th, board review May 10-24, applicant meetings May 28-May 31, with anticipation contract start date July 1st.
“The goals and scope of services include provide oversight, management, and essential administrative services in accordance with policies, and with guidance of the Leadership Cattaraugus Board of Directors. The administrator will foster programmatic growth, integrity, and professional recognition of the Leadership Cattaraugus program,” added Ms. Fuller. The applicant organization should have a presence in Cattaraugus County with fiscal management capacity, including the ability to develop and adhere to budgets, track expenses and invoices. The administrator qualifications include: must live and/or work in Cattaraugus County, familiarity with the strengths and challenges of the community, experience and comfort with public speaking, facilitating training, and coordination of events, and Leadership Cattaraugus alumni preferred.
The job site/time commitment is 12-18 hours per month and varied locations in the community – dependent upon program day topics and agendas. Leadership Cattaraugus agrees to pay the contractor a total amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per year, for all the work and services rendered by the contractor during the entire term of the Agreement.
LC was jointly launched in 2004 by the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Community College, The ReHabilitation Center (now Intandem), and St. Bonaventure University. JCC had served as the administrator of the program since its inception, but stepped back from that role in January because it didn’t have the staff to support the administration of LC. The college continues to support the program and the relationship between the entities remains strong.
